GUARDIAN-2 functions with Propane or Butane gas. Electronic start-up system (piezoelectric). Principal machinery is in zinc to withstand inclement weather. The sound intensity can be regulated by means of the telescopic cannon attached. Defends your crops from birds and other harmful animals which may ruin them. Does not destroy animals, it only frightens them off, thus conserving the ecological balance. Is backed by more than 40 years experience in producing scarecrows for crop protection. Is easy to use, with no risk of breakdowns or accidents. Gives off detonations with a present frequency of 3 to 30 minutes, by means of a regulating tap.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE
When you have unpacked the article connect the pipe to the tripod by means of the tripod by means of the square tube on the lower part of the pipe.
Take out the telescopic tube, gently turning the inside tube. The different length of the telescopic tube produces the variation in intensity characteristics concerning the detonation sound. The length of the telescopique tube allows the range of protection to be adjusted.
When the GUARDIAN-2 has been prepared, put the general shutoff cock the carboy in place and then connect the pressure regulator to the general shutoff cock and connect the frequency regulating tap to the pressure regulator and made sure that there is no gas leakage at any point in the regulation unit Connect the gas outlet tube to the GUARDIAN-2.
Frequency control of the detonation.- Open the general shutoff cock to the carboy to the maximum. The frequency of the detonations is graduated by the frequency regulating tap in which there are turning signs. In the maximum position in the(+) direction (anticlockwise), the frequency of the detonations is at 3 minute intervals, and in the maximum position in the (-) direction, the frequency of the detonations is at 30 minute intervals. The first three detonations may be weak but the following ones will be loud, approximately 120 decibels. The frequency regulation is obtained by turning the tap in the required position between the signs(+) and (-).
To stop the GUARDIAN-2 operating, it is sufficient to close the general shutoff cock on the carboy.
To start the GUARDIAN-2 operating again, you only need to open the general shutoff cock to the carboy and the operation will automatically continue under the same conditions as previously stated with reference to sound and frequency.
The use of industrial gas is recommended (propane) for temperatures below zero, as butane does not work in low atmospherique conditions
The piezoelectric system with which the GUARDIAN-2 is equipped has a working life of about one hundred and fifty thousand sparks which means an average life of 6 to 8 years.
When the GUARDIAN-2 is put into operation after a long period without working the firing axle should be greased with anti-rust oil in the part sliding into the lever openings (as it leaves the factory).
