Main Primary Filter
Teflon coated filters are supplied as standard to allow for wet and dry operation. Filter is automatically cleaned thoroughly with reverse air jet cleaning system and collected material is collected in the main container and discharged with the load.
Final Filter
Manufactured from exclusive special material and design ensuring no clogging and guarantee the discharge air to be safe to breathe even when used to collect dangerous and toxic materials.

(d) Exclusive 80% continuous rated vacuum pump with 90% maximum vacuum capacity in some models. Air discharge is no hotter than ordinary roots type blower at 50% vacuum .T his type of pump has been successfully used in hundreds of installations from 75 to 415 HP and an exclusive two year Warranty period is offered to the Mecal vacuum pump.

(e) Power Plant: electric, water cooled or air cooled diesel engine are available for all models. Large power surplus is allowed in the selection of engines.
(g) All Mecal machines are designed so that they require no minimum maintenance of any kind. For example, filter cleaning, et c., are automatic functions.
Attention is required annually only, even then only an inspection is recommended .
All Mecal filters may be serviced without tools, by unskilled labour in a very short time. The diesel engine needs normal service as per Maker’s instruction.

Separate Diesel Engines which drive the vacuum pumps of VacTrailers provide an optimum cooling system for continuous operation. They run at low rpms, quietly and within the best torque range, resulting in substantially lower fuel consumption, compared to truck engines as a power source. Truck mounted units can be fitted with a split shaft box, using the truck engine to drive the vacuum pump.
VacTrailer Units require a separate Diesel (or electric) engine to drive the vacuum pump. Only reliable manufacturers of Diesel engines are selected, such as Volvo, Perkins and Kubota, all of whom provide worldwide service. VacTrailers are normally mounted on trailers but are suited for mounting on 2- or 3-axle trucks as well.
Vacuum Loaders using the truck engine as a power source for the vacuum pump, require a split shaft (transfer case) gear box. The spilt shaft box provides power either to the wheels or via a cardan shaft to the vacuum pump. The truck’s gear box is used to adapt the rpm of the pump exactly to the actual performance requirements, especially Important when using the pressure discharge system.
Side Channel (Regenerative) Vacuum Pumps are maintenance-free, designed for continuous and quiet operation (2,900 rpm, impeller on motor shaft). The continuous rated vacuum reaches up to 50%, the short time vacuum up to 60%. A side channel vacuum pump is available for the VacTrailer S – 4 as an option to a roots type pump, which provides a more aggressive vacuum.
Three-Lobe Positive Displacement Vacuum Pumps use the newest technology: Star shaped (Y) rotating pistons instead of 8-shaped pistons. The mechanical rigidity of the 3-lobe structure prevents vibrations and bending of the shaft under fast changing vacuum, as is common in cleaning jobs (a frequent cause of damage in roots type pumps with 8-shaped pistons).
Three-Lobe Vacuum Pumps provide up to 90% vacuum, using a pre-inlet cooling system. The suction power is up to 60% higher, compared to standard 50% vacuum pumps and are more durable and specially suited for heavy suction material.

Cleaning the decks of tunnel furnaces: After baking bricks, the burnt wastes are removed by suction before replacing with new bricks for firing.
Central suction plant for machinery cleaning. The cooling emulsion is continuously pumped away, the turnings are automatically discharged into a container.
MaxVac FILTER _being used as semi-stationary swarf removal plant with a fixed pipework system and a special slot nozzle.

Central suction plant for the cleaning of containers. A fixed piping system provides suction inlet points throughout the container storage area.

DESIGN PIPELINE SYSTEM
It is normally more economical in both time and effort to install fixed pipelines in various areas and connect the Portable Suction Unit to it in an easily accessibly area.
Pipeline system also allows reclaimable material to be returned back to the process at a suitable location using interceptor and automatic discharging system.
We offer two low cost systems:
SK SYSTEM
Incorporating the Cardan Coupling for areas where the pipeline installation may need to be moved frequently.
BR SYSTEM
Incorporating the Morris Coupling an easily erected System which may be re-arranged simply and cheaply, should it be necessary.
Upon receipt of a sketch plan of your proposed pipe system, one of our Engineers will prepare a detailed layout using standard components and provide, the performance details of the proposed System.

Easy transport
A van, see left picture, is the most economical means of transport for the S-4 unit. Sufficient space is available for accessories. The empty weight of the S-4 unit mounted on a tandem trailer is 2000 kg
